Guy Grizman (M.A)
My name is Guy Grizman, and for nearly two decades Buddhism has been an important part of my life, both as a personal practice and as an academic field of study.
My journey began around eighteen years ago with Vipassana meditation in the tradition of S. N. Goenka. Over the years, my practice expanded to include teachings from several Tibetan Buddhist traditions, including Geluk, Drikung Kagyu, and Nyingma, giving me the opportunity to learn from teachers with diverse approaches to meditation, philosophy, and practice. In recent years, I have found a spiritual home in the Thai Forest Tradition, whose emphasis on simplicity, direct experience, and careful investigation continues to shape my own practice.
Alongside my personal practice, I pursued academic studies in Buddhism, Indian religions, and Tibetan language and literature. These years of study deepened my appreciation for the historical development of Buddhist traditions and the richness of their philosophical perspectives.
Triyana Meditation was born from the wish to make authentic Buddhist teachings approachable for people living modern lives. My goal is not to ask anyone to adopt a new religion or worldview, but to present Buddhism as a practical path for understanding the mind, cultivating well-being, and developing wisdom and compassion.
Whether you are completely new to Buddhism or already have experience with meditation, my workshops are designed to provide a balanced introduction that combines historical context, traditional teachings, contemporary research, and practical exercises. I draw from multiple Buddhist traditions while always respecting their differences, allowing participants to appreciate both their shared foundations and their unique contributions.
I believe Buddhism offers timeless insights into the human condition that remain remarkably relevant in today's fast-paced world. My hope is to present these teachings not simply as ideas to explore, but as practical tools for living with greater clarity, compassion and wisdom.
